Lotus Temple – Why it’s so popular?
Lotus Temple is a very unique and popular tourist attraction in Delhi.
Why?
Because Lotus Temple has notable flower like shape, it has become a prominent attraction in the city.
There are nine sides to the temple formed by 27 marble petals, arranged in groups of three. The nine doors lead to a central prayer hall that has a capacity of 2500 people and is about 40m high.
The Lotus Temple is a Bahai House of Worship, also known as Mashriqu'l-Adhkár, opened to the public in December 1986. The Bahai’s believe in oneness of religions and humanity.
Lotus Temple is one of the most visited tourist spot among HOHO travellers.
