123 Best Places to Visit in Delhi
Namaste! Delhi is no ordinary city. Mirza Ghalib a preeminent Indian Urdu and Persian poet once wrote:
I asked my soul: What is Delhi?
She replied: The world is the body and Delhi its life!
Delhi, the capital of India is full of rich history and culture. Tourists around the world are constantly astonished by the incredible proximity of freshness and Indian culture of Delhi.
Delhi has it all, India’s largest mosques Jama Masjid, imposing Red Forts, beautiful Humayun Tomb, Gandhi Smriti, grandiose Akshardham, picturesque gardens of Mughal era, and not to forget variety of museums and art galleries.
Delhi is blessed to be so near to one of the seven wonders of the world Taj Mahal as well (250 kilometers from Delhi )
Wondering if Car as an option for Delhi Sightseeing. A must read before you decide
As Spotted in
Guide: Your driver may or may not have the knowledge about the places, he may or may not know English. So its always better to make sure that you confirm that before booking a Car
2 Days Tour: If you are planning to visit Delhi for 2 days the cost for hiring a car for 2 days will certainly be higher.
Pick and Drop: The best part about hiring a car would be pick and drop facility. However, note that the pick and drop will be bound by the condition of 8 hours / 80 km.
Thus it would be prudent that the Car you book should be as near as possible to your location of stay. Else, you will end up paying more.
Metro/Ola/Uber: Delhi is one of the most well connected city and thus if you plan to decide to take HOHO Bus, you can easily reach the pick up point.
Refer: How to reach
Halts at Expensive Shops and Restataurants: If you opt to take Car, there are chances that driver will halt at food points for lunch and at shopping points for your shopping. These places are often very expensive. Comparatively, you may end up paying a lot more for the Delhi Darshan by Car.
Photography Opportunities: Car will go to pre-decided itinerary instead of a pre-defined route. Thus, there are chances that it will not pass through places which you don’t want to visit due to time constraint, but at least want to take photos of them. Thus, comparatively speaking with Car you might miss on those places.

Variety of Places: Again, for the above reasons, as the Car would have a fixed itinerary and chances are that it would be focused on more traditional places, like Red Fort, Qutab Minar, India Gate. You might miss on the other exciting attractions that are popular among tourists example:
